Cocoa Banana Almond Smoothies

I thought the glass was a nice addition.  It came from a Caribbean cruise that my husband and I went on many years before our children were born.  Now, on to the subject at hand.  This recipe is a great way to use up bananas, consume calcium and trick your kids into thinking that they are drinking sweetened chocolate. 

Very refreshing!


Makes 3  8 oz servings



1  1/2 cups crushed ice
1  1/2 cups vanilla almond milk
2 very ripe bananas
1 - 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (I used 2 tablespoons for this picture)
Added sugar if the bananas are not very sweet


  • Place in blender and mix, serve
