1 lb fresh string beans
3 tablespoons salted butter
1 shallot cut into small pieces
Dash of pepper
- Boil washed and trimmed string beans until al dente. Drain and set aside
- In a frying pan, melt butter
- Add shallots and cook until soft and slightly brown.
- Add shallot mixture to beans and mix. Add a dash of pepper
- Serve immediately
