Oven Catfish



Yes, there is a trend.  My family likes catfish.  (It happens to be my favorite fish)  This is a great recipe because it uses no oil or eggs.  It is crispy and delicious!




1 1/2 lb catfish fillets
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt (or less, to taste)
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup skim milk


  • Heat oven to 425. Place foil over baking pan and spray with Pam
  • Mix all spices into the cornmeal
  • Dip fish into milk and then coat with the cornmeal mix
  • Bake 15 minutes, or until flaky
