Garlic Roasted Chicken

Not the greatest picture, I know. The smell of the butter mixed
with honey, soy and spices was heavenly!  (it would make a good kitchen air freshener)  Easy to make, and quick to cook.  I served this with scalloped potatoes, zucchini and carrots.  There is extra sauce at the bottom of the pan,  so a good option would be to pair this with white rice.

This recipe reflects the family size pack of drumsticks.

14 skinned drumsticks
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons honey
1  1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
5-6 garlic cloves, minced  (I used a grater)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees bake.  Cover baking pan with foil, and spray with nonstick cooking spray
  • Remove skin, and wash thoroughly.  Lightly salt and pepper meat
  • Combine remaining ingredients and brush on all sides
  • Bake for 20 minutes.  Turn over and brush on remaining mixture
  • Cook for an additional 15 - 20 minutes.  (or until internal temperature is 165 degrees)
