Sour Cream/Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes

My nephew is over.  He requested this recipe.  (he ate two helpings, so it must be good!)  Actually, I made 10 lbs of mashed potatoes (this recipe)  for Thanksgiving.  I honestly don't like mashed potatoes.  It is one of those rare foods (like raw onions) which I don't like.

Per my nephew,  these are rich and creamy with out using butter.  I hope you enjoy!

3 lbs potatoes
4 oz cream cheese
4 oz sour cream
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon onion salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper or to taste


  • Peel and cut potatoes.  Boil in salted water until tender
  • Once potatoes are soft, drain
  • Add cream cheese, sour cream, milk and spices.  Beat until soft and lump free
